PAMPOROVO, BULGARIA • 4-22 JANUARY 2027

Finance. Skiing. Real-world learning.

A small-group winter hub where children build financial and business skills — then experience them in the real world on the mountain.

WHY PAMPOROVO?

The ski resort becomes the classroom.

Children explore how ski schools, hotels, lifts, rentals and restaurants work, then use those observations in finance and business simulations.

PRICING
Why do prices change during ski season?

RISK
What happens when weather, demand or costs change unexpectedly?

CHOICES
How do families and businesses decide what is worth spending money on?

PROFIT
How do businesses earn money after paying their costs?

MORNING

Finance & Business

Children learn through games, simulations and real decisions, not lectures.

They work with budgets, prices, currencies, supply and demand, risk and profit, then apply those ideas in a simulated ski-resort business.

AFTERNOON

Mountain & Skiing

In the afternoon, children move from the workshop to the mountain.

Ski or snowboard sessions build confidence, coordination, resilience and risk awareness, while the resort itself becomes part of the learning experience.

They also see the resort economy they discussed in the morning operating around them in real life.

MIND + BODY

At World Is My School, sport is part of learning — not a break from it.

Physical challenge builds confidence, resilience, discipline and risk awareness — the same qualities children use when making decisions, solving problems and working with others.

Mens sana in corpore sano - a healthy mind in a healthy body.

HOW CHILDREN LEARN

Negotiation skills

empowering children to confidently advocate for their ideas and achieve favorable outcomes in various situations.

Run your own ski-resort business.

Children take ownership of a simulated ski school, hotel, restaurant, lift or shop - and make real decisions about pricing, customers, resources and risk.

They learn by trying, adjusting and seeing what happens next.

01 · Learn
Short explanations and thoughtful questions that help kids think for themselves.

02 · Decide
Make choices with limited money and resources.

03 · Test
See what happens when decisions meet reality.

04 · Reflect
Explain what worked, what didn’t and what to change.

HOW THE HUB WORKS

A week with rhythm, structure and space to explore.

Children join us five days a week, with a longer mountain days and shorter project and exploration days.

Mornings focus on finance, business and project-based learning. Afternoons move outdoors for skiing or snowboarding, mountain time and real-world observation around the resort.

Projects + Exploration

Finance + Business + Skiing

More flexible days for project work, reflection, local exploration and activities that connect learning with the destination.

A deeper learning block followed by time on the mountain.

Children work on simulations, business challenges and team projects, then continue the day through sport and real-world observation around the resort.

SMALL BY DESIGN

We keep groups intentionally small so children can ask questions, take part in discussions and receive individual attention.

WHO IS IT FOR

Ages 8-11

The core program is designed for this age group.

Children ages 6–7 are also welcome to apply.
We will consider younger children individually and, where appropriate, adapt activities to their developmental level, confidence and ability to participate independently in the group.

For curious, independent children who learn best by doing.

The Pamporovo Hub is designed for children ages 8–11 who are ready to join a small international group, take part in hands-on learning and spend part of the day away from their parents.

It is especially suited to children who enjoy asking questions, solving problems, working with others and learning through real experiences rather than long lessons.

Small international group

Children learn alongside peers from different countries and backgrounds.

No business knowledge needed

Curiosity matters more than previous experience.

Ski level doesn’t define participation

Beginners and more experienced skiers can join, with ski groups organised by ability.

Comfortable with drop-off

Children should be able to spend several hours in a supervised group without a parent present.
